1991 | MTV | 120 Minutes

This is an independent project—we are non-commercial, we receive no funding from anyone, and we show no ads. It costs money and time to keep the archive going—we rely on donations to stay online. Help us keep the “dream of the ’90s” alive and make this place a permanent exhibit of all things alternative—because 120 Minutes deserves a home where its history and legacy live on.

You don’t need to create any accounts or sign up for anything to donate—it only takes a few seconds. We will never email you. Thank you so much!

There is an article on the website Scratchbomb that discusses this episode and features several video clips from it. Highlights:
"Though this episode aired and was presumably taped after Nirvana 'broke', you'll notice very little Seattle stuff here. Grunge would soon dominate the 120 Minutes playlist, but during this particular episode the videos leaned heavily toward industrial (Ministry, Nitzer Ebb), British shoegaze, and indie rock like Urge Overkill. The last half hour of the episode contains some curious Christmas music from Hoodoo Gurus and The Wedding Present."
"There's some amazing live footage from a mini-documentary on The Clash that I've never seen anywhere else, from the band's early days, their 1982 concert at Shea Stadium, and lots of stuff in between. Also, some interesting testimonials from Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, and Paul Simonon."
